Arms
around her knees
nestled back against me.
I lean a little to my left
to better see her silhouette
fair and freckled
long blond hair
darker eyebrows
pale clay lips.
From the corner of her eye
she sees me.
She is quiet
so am I
languid waves
shimmer, shade
and slip to shore.
Turning
slow playful smile
she kisses me softly.
